Lean Six Sigma
Lean Six Sigma is a process improvement methodology to assist companies using the five following phases (defining, measuring, analyzing, improving, and controlling). Lean Six Sigma events identify process improvements to increase or improve organizational productivity. It uses specific strategies, tools, and statistical processes to improve virtually any organization. Although this is a business model used by Amazon and other Fortune 500 Companies, it has specific ramifications for public schools and schooling. If you are interested in this model we can provide a Black-Belt-Certified Facilitator to lead you through successful implementation.
This data driven process starts with spending time with the client and stakeholders holders (referred to as process holders) to define what is currently in place and the issues. Then, working with the stakeholders an appropriate data measurement process is determined to measure effectiveness of current procedures. Next, statistical analysis tools are applied to the collected data to identify trends and problem areas with the input of stakeholders. Process improvement begins with deciding what measures the organization will take using Lean tools, quality improvement tools, current educational theory, and pedogeological practice theory to determine what needs to change in order for the organization to more effectively and efficiently meet the vision, mission, and organizational goals and demands. Finally, control systems are established which include on-going data measurement and reporting systems to ensure improvements are sustained. The consultant is available for periodic bench marking reviews.
This methodology can applied at small group levels of just a few individuals to large group levels of thousands.
