PBIS…

PBIS is mandated by many states and districts to help decrease the number of students being removed from the basic education classroom for disciplinary reasons. Implementing a PBIS program is often viewed as something else to do by teachers and not well received. We can help you develop a PBIS program that is easy to implement and sustainable. We can also support with teacher training and buy in.

With the new tiered model of PBIS, it is difficult to gain buy-in from students, families, and staff.  A comprehensive and successful PBIS plan is necessary. We can support creating a school or district plan,  evaluate the implementation of current plans, or lead the development of your plan.

PBIS programs can be one more stressful program for teachers to implement, or it can be a vibrant, creative, and powerful way to change a school culture positively. Useful PBIS plans define and direct the way all stakeholders interact in the school environment, and recognize those students who are following expectations. We have developed and implemented award winning PBIS plans. From PBIS lesson plans, to acknowledgement systems, to implementation, and a fidelity checking process, we can provide support for systems you have in place, or work with your staff to develop a new system.
